When Paddington Bear had tea with The Queen on her Platinum Jubilee, he said to her:
"Happy Jubilee Mam, and, thank you for everything"
A priceless moment in time that inspired the creation of this artwork. She soon passed away after this and so the comment seemed an appropriate title as he temporarily takes her place on an old £50 banknote.
The base layer is a drawing of Paddington drawn in Black, Red, & Blue ballpoint pens and took about 180 hours.
Then a large old £50 banknote print was specially created. The portrait area was carefully torn out by hand and placed over the Paddington drawing allowing the 2 layers to bond together.
