Underground Chic
In these artworks of Mia (character in the film Pulp Fiction played by Uma Thurman) the darker side of pop culture and how it informs people on what is considered cool & chic in a slightly dark, mysterious, and alternative manner is explored.
On this page Mia the ‘Underground Chic’ muse is drawn and painted over different media from paper, canvas, luxury shopping bags, and even an ex Yakuza Mercedes (see bottom).
Below is a couple photos of a Mercedes that has a couple of the Mia artworks above digitally altered and matched by format to become an art wrap. The car was confiscated by the Japanese government from the Yakuza. It was imported to London and art wrapped for my “Underground Chic” exhibition in 2023 (more info here).
