Artwork Background
I came across this old frame at a vintage fair/market near Hastings (Southern England), I think the seller said it came from France and is quite old. So I just needed the right artwork to go inside.
I wanted to create something playful, fun and innocent/sweet to match the frame. After some rummaging through the hundreds of saved images I keep aside for future, my wife Natasa persuaded me to use an old photo of “Lady”, she was the 50s cover for the Greyhound coaches company in the US. I believe she was quite famous as that for a time.
As you can imagine from the old photo there wasn’t as much detail present as I would like so I also worked from other photos of Greyhounds to add more detail.
